The Starbucks had 15 years remaining on their lease with 5 yearly RPI linked reviews.
The development plot totalled 1.06 acres and has an existing consent in place for 8,561 sq ft of sui generis and class E uses.
The plots sold at above the asking price at the beginning of 2025.

Howie Property Ltd were instructed by Modo Bloc to secure pre-lets at their their new roadside retail development.
Lettings to Starbucks (drive thru), Gridserve, Indigo Sun and Greggs were secured.
The total acreage of the site is approximately 0.7 acres
The scheme will open to the public in 2026.

Howie Property Ltd represented Costa Coffee Limited and McDonald's in securing representation at this new roadside scheme in Darlington.
McDonald's acquired their plot on a freehold basis with Costa Coffee securing a 15 year lease.
The site has secured planning and will be developed by Almscliffe Dhesi with practical completion in 2026.
Other occupiers include Harrison Vets, Indigo Sun, Greggs and Fastned.

Howie Property Ltd represented Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Limited in securing a leasehold opportunity at the above address.
Starbucks took a lease of a newly developed 1,500 sq ft pod unit adjacent to Wickes and fronting Magnet.
Starbucks took a 15 year lease.
