  • Howie Property Ltd were instructed by Stretton Wakefield Limited to dispose of an existing Starbucks Drive Thru (let to 23.5 Degrees Limited) and adjacent development plot.

  • The Starbucks had 15 years remaining on their lease with 5 yearly RPI linked reviews.

  • The development plot totalled 1.06 acres and has an existing consent in place for 8,561 sq ft of sui generis and class E uses. 

  • The plots sold at above the asking price at the beginning of 2025.

  • Lettings to Starbucks (drive thru), Gridserve, Indigo Sun and Greggs were secured.

  • The total acreage of the site is approximately 0.7 acres

FAVERDALE, DARLINGTON - COSTA COFFEE LETTING AND MCDONALD'S LAND ACQUISITION

  • Howie Property Ltd represented Costa Coffee Limited and McDonald's in securing representation at this new roadside scheme in Darlington.

  • McDonald's acquired their plot on a freehold basis with Costa Coffee securing a 15 year lease. 

  • The site has secured planning and will be developed by Almscliffe Dhesi with practical completion in 2026.

  • Other occupiers include Harrison Vets, Indigo Sun, Greggs and Fastned.
